The Sussex beta is open to eligible university staff and is completely free to use. Your name and email address are used only to verify your status as university staff, but are not shared with other users.
How membership is verified
The staff directory establishes that a person with your name is a current Sussex staff member. A registration code then establishes control of that staff member's institutional mailbox.
Your verified institutional email remains private. Once your membership is set up, you can choose a different email for future sign-ins while the institutional address is retained privately as verification evidence.
